Counselling & Psychotherapy

A space to slow down, make sense of things and find your way forward.

Sometimes life feels overwhelming, but you don’t need to have all the answers, or even the right words to begin. This can happen during school or HSC pressures, relationships, work stress, family challenges, or major life changes.

Who we work with

I work mainly with adolescents aged 16 and over and adults, and also welcome younger adolescents aged 12–15. I offer a warm, safe space to explore feelings, work through life’s challenges and make sense of what’s going on, in your own time and in your own way.

This may include:

Adolescents

HSC and study pressure

Anxiety and overwhelm

Confidence & self-belief

Friendship & Relationship

Familly changes

Transitions and uncertainty

Feeling stuck or disconnected

Adults

Stress & overwhelm

Anxiety

Confidence & self-understanding

Relationships

Life transitions

Personal challenges

Navigating change

Feeling stuck or uncertain

This isn't an exhaustive list. You don't need to find the perfect label for what you're experiencing before reaching out.

What happens in therapy?

Your first session is an opportunity to talk about what brings you to therapy and what you'd like support with.

We'll take some time to understand what's happening and consider what might be helpful.

Sessions may include:

  • talking and reflection

  • exploring emotions and experiences

  • understanding patterns

  • exploring relationships

  • therapeutic activities

  • developing strategies and ways of responding to challenges

  • Sandtray Therapy, if you're open to it

There is no requirement to talk about everything at once.
Therapy happens at your pace.

Therapy can look different for everyone

When words aren't enough

Talking is an important part of therapy, but it isn't the only way we can explore what's happening.

Depending on what feels appropriate, we may use reflection, therapeutic activities, imagery, metaphor or Sandtray Therapy.

The approach is shaped around you, rather than asking you to fit into a particular way of doing therapy.

Sometimes we know what we're feeling but can't quite explain it.
Sometimes we don't yet understand what we're feeling.

Sandtray Therapy is part of how I work, offering another way to explore thoughts, feelings, experiences and relationships.

You don't have to use Sandtray.

If you're curious and open to it, it may become part of our work. If you'd rather continue through talking and reflection, that's completely okay.

How do I start?

You can begin with a free 15-minute consultation

There's no obligation to book therapy. It's simply a chance to ask questions, share a little about what brings you here and see whether we might be a good fit.

Start where you are. Go at your own pace.
